Texting while driving is bad, You'll hurt someone if you text and drive, You have worse reaction times of a drunk driver when you text, we've heard all the things people scold us about texting, but are they true? The truth is they are. Texting while driving is bad even though that phrase sounds kind of kiddish. If you text and drive, you really could hurt someone as over 6,000 people died in texting while driving incidents in 2008. If you text while you drive, you have 6 times more of a chance to get in a crash than a driver who is paying full attention. When you do this, you have the same reaction times as someone who is right at the legal limit (.08) of blood-alcohol content. Don't you dare think "that will never happen to me", because eventually it will. There are things called"shock videos" that show usually gory scenes of people who are texting getting into accidents. I am personally not for them because they are usually very extreme, show things that will almost never happen, or use different scenarios such as two teens in high school who are dating getting killed. This of course identifies more with teenagers, but in my opinion is ridiculous.
